babies havin babies.
chloe is in labor today. i only know this because she decided to wake me up by going into labor on my lap this morning. actually, she'd laid her belly over my belly and i woke up to the thumpthumpthump of kittens attempting a jailbreak.
we're in hour two now, and i really hope she gets the show going soon, because i've got to go to work in 45 minutes. that sounds totally callous, but i just don't want her to go through this alone. i've always had cats; i'm a mccarthy, it's a requirement. but, i've never had a cat like chloe. there has never been another cat like chloe. she treats me like i'm the only one in the world. she is my ragdoll, my lap companion. and instead of finding a hidden nest to give birth, my chloe climbed on my belly this morning.
i realize that i'm venturing into crazy cat lady territory now, but this is a big day for our little family, and all the pets are calm and waiting, giving chloe her space. we're all holding our breath, while simultaneously trying to be chloe's lamaze partner.
wish my babygirl luck, as she is utterly confused, and probably thinks she's got wicked indigestion.
may the babies come easy, and be as cool as you, little cat.
and i promise, we're gonna spay you in just a few more days.

I know without doubt, that if I weren't married that I too, would be a crazy cat lady and proud of it.
