i spent a day at the ER last week. and then my mother came to visit. these are stories. big, big stories. but i am exhausted.
today is the 10th anniversary of my father's passing. my sister texted me to ask if i was okay. too busy to think about it, i replied. i just feel off. me too, she said.
and then i sat outside on my last break of the night, in the middle of intense workdays full of overtime, and watched the harvest moon rise. i put all of my hope in that moment.
when this week of long, long days passes, maybe i will have some words to share.
